Notification regarding changing the name of Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar 11-10-2023

NOTIFICATION Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961. No. ZPA-2023/C.R.108/Panra-1.—Whereas, Government of Maharashtra by the Government Notification, Revenue and Forests Department, No.TLC-2023/C.R.37/M-10, dated the 15th September 2023, has changed the name of revenue areas of “Aurangabad District” as “Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District”. Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 6 of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Mah. V of 1962), the Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the changes in the name of “Zilla Parishad , Aurangabad” as “Zilla Parishad, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar”. 2. Any reference in any Act or instrument or other document, to the Zilla Parishad, Aurangabad (as it existed before the publication of this notification in the Maharashtra Government Gazette), unless the context requires otherwise, be deemed to be reference to the Zilla Parishad, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Any reference in any Act or instrument or other document, to the Panchayat Samiti, Aurangabad (as it existed before the publication of this notification in the Maharashtra Government Gazette), unless the context requires otherwise, be deemed to be reference to the Panchayat Samiti, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
