No. 4-7-17-26-2.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 32 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (No. 56 of 2007), the State Government, hereby makes the following amendments in the Madhya Pradesh Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, namely:— , AMENDMENT In the said rules, in rule 21, for sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:— “(2) The State Council shall consist of the following members, namely:— (a) Chief Minister Ex-officio Chairman (b) Minister in charge of Social Justice and Disable Welfare Department, Ex-officio Vice-Chairman Government of Madhya Pradesh. (c) State Minister in charge of Social Justice and Disable Welfare Department, Ex-officio Vice-Chairman Government of Madhya Pradesh. (d) A senior citizen nominated by the State Government who has excellent Vice-Chairman reputation and prestige with vast experience of senior Citizens related matters and in the field of Public Administration. (¢) One member each from the Government Department such as Health, Member Medical Education, Ayush, Home and Department of Finance, nominated by the State Government. (f) Commissioner, Public Relation Member (g) Commissioner/Director, Pension and Insurance Member (h) Four social worker out of which one female member and one member from Member Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes working for welfare of Senior Citizens.
