Short title and commencement: (i) These regulations may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) (Senior Administrative and Allied Posts) Service Regulations, 2002. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Application ; These regulations shall apply to the posts specified in column 1 of the Schedule annexed hereto. 3, Number of posts and scales of pay : The number of posts and their scales of pay shall be as specified in columns 2 and 3 of the Schedule aforesaid, 4, Initial Constitution : All persons appointed at the commencement of these regulations holding the posts mentioned in these regulations on regular basis shall be deemed to have been appointed as such under these regulations. The services 1771 GI/2002—3 rendered by them before the commencement of these regulations shall be taken into account for promotion etc. to the next grade. 5. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc. The method of recruitment to the said posts, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns 4 to 11 of the said Schedule. 6. Disqualification No person- (a) who, has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts : Provided that the Corporation may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation. 7. Power to relax . Where the Corporation is of the opinion that h is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, with the pnor approval of the Central Government, relax the provisions of age limit, educational and other qualifications for the said posts. 8. Savings; Nothing in these regulations shall effect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concession required to be provided for persons belonging to the Schedules Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and other categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by Government from time to time. .
