S.O. 133(E). Notification of Chironji, Tamarind Sweet Potato, Cassava and poplar

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 115] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2018/PAUSHA 20, 1939 MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE (Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the, 9th January, 2018 S.O. 133(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 29 read with Section 14 of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 (53 of 2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare), number S.O. 1536(E), dated the 12 th May, 2017, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 12th May, 2017, namely:— In the said notification, in the Table, after serial number 132 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:— “133. Buchanania lanzan Sperng. Chironji Chironji 134. Tamarindus indica L. Tamarind Imli 135. Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam. Sweet Potato Shakarkand 136. Manihot esculenta Crantz Cassava Cassava 137. Populus deltoides Bartr. Poplar Poplar”.
