G.S.R. 116(E) Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (Other Associated Members of the Commission) Rules, 2023

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 94] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2023/PHALGUNA 2, 1944 MINISTRY OF ENVIORNMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 21st February, 2023 G.S.R. 116(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 25 of the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Act, 2021 (29 of 2021), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (Other Associated Members of the Commission) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Other Associated Member of Commission.- The Commission constituted under section 3 of the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Act, 2021 (29 of 2021), may co-opt a representative of the following Ministries not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India only on a need basis as other Associate Members for the purpose of clause (h) of sub-section (3) of section 3 of the said Act, namely:- (a) a representative of the Ministry of Heavy Industries; (b) a representative of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy; (c) a representative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; (d) a representative of the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance; (e) a representative of the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance; (f) a representative of the Ministry of Earth Sciences; (g) a representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology; (h) a representative of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying; and (i) a representative of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
