Establishment of Additional District and Sessions Court at Kallam, District Osmanabad

No. CRC 2019/CR 204(II)/Desk XII.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 read with section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf; and in partial modification of all earlier notifications issued in this behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue Tahsil of Paranda in the Osmanabad District, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby creates, with effect from the 19th March 2023, the sessions sub-division for the revenue Tahsil of Paranda in Osmanabad District and establishes a Court of Sessions at Paranda, to be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said sessions sub-division. The Principal Sessions Judge, Osmanabad shall also be the Sessions Judge for Paranda Session sub-division and shall have the powers to withdraw unto himself or to assign to any other Court of competent Jurisdiction, cases from the said Sessions sub-division, or to assign unto the Assistant or Additional Sessions Judge at Paranda, any such cases as he thinks fit.
