[G.O.(Rt) No. 329, Labour Welfare and Skill Development (D2), No. II(2)/LWSD/650/2023—WHEREAS, the Governor of Tamil Nadu is satisfied that public interest requires that the "Newsprint and Paper Manufacturing Industry" should be declared as a public utility service for the purposes of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947); NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the said Act, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares that the "Newsprint and Paper Manufacturing Industry" to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect on and from the date of publication of this Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. Declaration of "All Institutions engaged in procurement, storage and distribution of milk and manufacture of milk products and registered under the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983" as public utility service under the Act.
