(Extra.), dated the 5th December, 2016] CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION HOME DEPARTMENT Notification The 5th December, 2016 No. 8/1/Mis/50-IH(8)/2016/32101.-ln Supersession of the Chandigarh Administration, Notification No. 8/1/Mis/50-IH(8)/2014/1145, dated 20th January, 2014 and in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (Central Act No. 33 of 1989), read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification bearing No. SO 157(E) dated the 20th February, 1990, and with the concurrence of Hon'ble the Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is hereby pleased to specify the Court of First Additional Sessions Judge in the Union Territory, Chandigarh to be a Special Court under 'Section 14(1) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, as amended by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 (No. 1 of 2016), to try the offences under this Act.
