EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 596] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2023/MAGHA 20, 1944 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th February, 2023 S.O. 625(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment, Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 884 (E), dated the th December, 1996, namely:- In the said notification,- (a) in paragraph 1 of the said notification, in item (2) and the entries thereof, the words, ―Director, National Institute of Hydrology, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Uttarakhand or his representative an expert in the field of hydrology‖, shall be substituted; (b) after paragraph 5, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely – ―6. The Authority may co-opt one expert member from National Environment Engineering Research Institute Nagpur, to assist in deliberations depending on the requirements with the permission of the Chairperson.
