Appointment of Assistant Commissioners of all Commissionerates and all Tehsildars other than Commissionerate areas as Executive Magistrates

No. Sankirna-0624/448/C.R.59/Spl.1A.–In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section14 and sub-section (4) of section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (46 of 2023), and in supersession of all the existing notifications, orders or instruments issued in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette appoints the Assistant Commissioner of Police in all Commissionerate and all Tahsildar in other than Commissionerate area as Executive Magistrate and specially empower them to hold inquests under Sub-Section (4) of section 194 of the said Sanhita, In the area within their Jurisdiction.
