Appointment of Chairperson and the Members of UIDAI

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2226] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2016/BHADRA 21, 1938 MINISTRY OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 12th September, 2016 S.O. 2926(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 12 of The Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016), the Central Government, hereby appoints: (i) Shri J. Satyanarayana, IAS (Retd.) (AP:77) as Part-time Chairperson of the Unique Identification Authority of India, and (ii) Shri Rajesh Jain, Founder & Managing Director, net CORE Solutions and Shri Anand Deshpande, Founder & CEO, Persistent Systems as Part-time Members of the Unique Identification Authority of India. 2. The Chairperson and the Members appointed under this Act shall hold office for a term of three years or up to the age of sixty-five years whichever is earlier, from the date on which they assume office. and Published by the Controller of Publications, Delhi-110054.
