A Regulation to continue the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Regulation, 1958, for a further period. In exercise of the powers conferred by article 240 of the Constitution, read with sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 18 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution, the President is pleased to promulgate the following Regulation made by him:— 1. (1) This Regulation may be called the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Continuance Regulation, 1959. (2) It shall come into force at once. Short title ad com mencement. 2 of 1958. 2. In sub-section (4) of section 1 of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Regulation, 1958, for the words "for a period of one year", the words "for a period of two years" shall be substituted.
