(EXTRA.), JUNE 9, 2023 (JYST. 19, 1945 SAKA) Øe la[;k Qhl dk 110 izfr’kr HARYANA GOVERNMENT EXCISE AND TAXATION DEPARTMENT Notification The 9th June, 2023 No. 23/X-1/P.A.1/1914/Ss.21 and 59/2023.— In exercise of the powers conferred under sections 21 and 59 of the Haryana Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), and with reference to the Haryana Government, Excise and Taxation Department, notification No.55/X-1/P.A.1/1914/S.9/2022, dated the 6th September, 2022, I, Ashok Kumar Meena, Excise Commissioner, Haryana, hereby make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Brewery Rules, 1956, in their application to the State of Haryana, namely :- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Brewery (Haryana Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force with effect from the 12th day of June, 2023. 2. In the Punjab Brewery Rules, 1956 (hereinafter called the the said rules), in rule 5,- (i) for clause (a), the following clause shall be substituted namely:- Name of License Installed capacity in Hecto Litre per annum License fee (in Rs.) B-1 Less than 50,000 ₹ 50 lakh + ₹35 lakh per lakh Hecto Litre Per Annum 50,000 to less than 2,50,000 ₹ 75 lakh + ₹35 lakh per lakh Hecto Litre Per Annum 2,50,000 and above ₹ 150 lakh + ₹35 lakh per lakh Hecto Litre Per Annum (ii) for clause (c), the following clause shall be substituted, namely :- “(c) A letter of intent shall be obtained by the applicant for setting up a Brewery in the State of Haryana before he starts putting up his plant. The letter of intent shall be issued with certain terms and conditions with a specified period of validity. It shall be issued with the permission of the Government. Fee for letter of intent shall be as under:- HARYANA GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA.), JUNE 9, 2023 (JYST. 19, 1945 SAKA) 1419 Serial number Letter of Intent for setting up Brewery in the State Fee for Letter of Intent Revalidation fee of Letter of Intent 1. Brewery with installed capacity below 50,000 Hecto Litre Per Annum ₹ 20 lakh 110% of the previous year’s fee. 2. Brewery with installed capacity above 50,000 Hecto Litre Per Annum ₹ 40 lakh 110% of the previous year’s fee.”. 3. In the said rules, in rule 42, for clause (i), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(i) The general operation of the brewery shall be allowed for 8:00 hours in a working day which may be extended for an extra shift of 8:00 hours on payment of ₹18,00,000/- per annum and further extra shift of 8:00 hours on payment of ₹12,00,000/- per annum with the prior permission of competent authority.”.
