Notification for enforcement of provisions of The Legal Metrology Act, 2009 under the Jas Vishwas Act, 2023

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3961] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2023/BHADRA 29, 1945 MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (Department of Consumer Affairs) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 19th September, 2023 S.O. 4128(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023 (18 of 2023), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1 st day of October, 2023 as the date on which the provisions of the said Act, in so far as it relates to serial number 40 and the entries thereto in the Schedule to the said Act relating to the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, shall come into force.
