Establishment of Court of Additional District Judge, Ambad District Jalna

LAW AND JUDICIARY DEPARTMENT Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mantralaya, Mumbai 400 032, dated the 17th February 2021 NOTIFICATION CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE, 1973. No. CRC. 2020/C.R. 79/Desk XII.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(3) read with section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf; and in partial modification of all earlier notifications issued in this behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue tehsils of Ambad and Ghansawangi in the Jalna District, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby creates, with effect from the 21st February 2021, a Sessions Sub division for the revenue tehsils of Ambad and Ghansawangi in Jalna District and establishes a Court of Sessions at Ambad, to be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge, for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said sessions sub division. The Principal Sessions Judge, Jalna shall also be the Additional Sessions Judge for the Ambad sessions sub division and shall have the powers to withdraw unto himself or to assign to any other court of competent jurisdiction, cases from the said sessions sub division, or to assign unto the Additional Sessions Judge at Ambad, any such cases as he thinks fit.
