Establishment of a Civil Court presided over by the Civil Judge, Senior Division at Wai in Satara District.

No. Nyayastha 1221/601/C.R.149/DESK-11.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 21, 22A and 23 of the Maharashtra Civil Courts Act (XIV of 1869), and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, and in partial modification of all earlier notifications issued in that behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue Tehsils of Wai, Khandala and Mahabaleshwar in Satara District the Government of Maharashtra hereby directs that, with effect from 14th January 2023,— (a) there shall be a Civil Court at Wai, sub-ordinate to the District Court, Satara in Satara District ; (b) the said Court shall be presided over by the Civil Judge, Senior Division, who shall hold his Court at Wai in Satara District ; and (c) the local limits of the ordinary jurisdiction of the Civil Judge, Senior Division, Wai, shall comprise of the local limits of the revenue Tehsils of Wai, Khandala and Mahabaleshwar in Satara District and the said Tehsils which were heretofore included within the local limits of the ordinary jurisdiction of the Civil Judge, Senior Division, Satara shall be excluded therefrom.
