NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8 th June, 2020 S.O. 1790(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, number S.O. 1533(E) dated the 14 th September, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary Part II, Section 3, sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 2379(E), dated the 5 th July, 2019, and the said amendment is a mere clarification in nature, namely:- „„The State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority and State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Jammu and Kashmir constituted vide number S.O. 2379(E), dated the 5 th July, 2019, shall serve for both the Union Territories namely Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh respectively till separate Environment Impact Assessment Authority/ State Level Expert Appraisal Committee for Union Territory of Ladakh is constituted or up to the tenure of the said Environment Impact Assessment Authority / State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, whichever is earlier.‟‟ ARVIND NAUTIYAL, Jt.
