Extension of Nagar Panchayat Manjhanpur District Kaushambi

IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of following English translation of notification no. 1989/1X-6-2019- Dated Lucknow, December 31,2019 WHEREAS Government notification no. 1508/1X-6-2017-6C.V.-2007, dated February 08, 2018 was published in the Gazarte to invite objections and suggestions on the proposal for including the area mentioned in Schedule-1 in the transitional area of Nagar Panchayat Manjhanpur, district Kaushambi as required under sub section (1) of section 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Actno. Hl of 1916) ; AND, WHEREAS, the objections and suggestions received within the stipulated period has been decided in Government order no. 1072/9-6-2018-6CV/07, dated August 24, 2018; Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clause (2) of Article 243-Q of the Constitution read with sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalties Act, 1916 (UP. Act no. 2 of 1916) the Goverhor is pleased to declare the area and boundaries specified in Schedule-1 below shall be included in the transitional area of Nagar Panchayat Manjhanpur, district Kaushambi for the purposes of part 1X-A of the Constitution of India. The Governor, having regard to the population of area, the density of population therein, the revenue generated for the local administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities and the economic importance, etc. is further pleased to specify _ that the transitional area of the Nagar Panchayat Manjhanpur in district Kaushambi as extended by this Notification shall be the smaller urban area for the purpose of Part-1X A of the Constitution of India and there shall be constituted a Municipal Council to be known as Municipal Council Manjhanpur, district Kaushambi.
