Amendment of 9(1) committee constituted under the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Act, 1959 (57 of 1959)

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 375] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 2021/MAGHA 8, 1942 MINISTRY OF STATISTICS AND PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th January, 2021 S.O. 412 (E).––In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Indian Statistical Institute Act, 1959 (57 of 1959), the Central Government had constituted a Review Committee vide Notification No. th January, 2020 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii). Subsequent amendment to the said Notification was made vide Notification number S.O. 771(E) dated 20 th February, 2020 for inclusion of name of Shri Krishan Chander, Deputy Director General (Retired), Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in place of Shri R. C. Aggarwal at Sl. No. 12 of paragraph 1 of the Notification No. S.O. 415(E) dated 28 th January, 2020. Further amendment to the original Notification for extending the tenure of Review Committee for six months beyond 27.07.2020 was made vide Notification No. S.O. 2622(E) dated 5 th August, 2020 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii). Furthermore, a new amendment was made vide Notification No. S.O. 3567(E) dated 12 th October, 2020 for inclusion of name of Shri Atanu Kumar Chowdhury, Deputy Director General, Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Kolkata in place of Shri Shri Krishan Chander at Sl. No. 12 of paragraph 1 of the revised Notification No. S.O. 771(E) dated 20 th February, 2020. 2. As per para 5 of the revised notification dated 05.08.2020, the date of submission of report by the Committee was extended for six months beyond 27.07.2020 on the same terms and conditions. Now, the date of submission of report by the said committee is hereby extended for another six months beyond 27.01.2021 on the same terms and conditions. CHANDRADEEP KUMAR JHA, Dy.
