GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative NOTIFICATION No. 174-L.-19th February, 2021.—The following Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented to by the Governor, is hereby published for general information:— West Bengal Act II of 2021 THE WEST BENGAL KRISHI VISWAVIDYALAYA LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 19th February, 2021.] An Act to amend the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 1974 and the Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 1974, and the Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-second Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:— West Ben. Short title and commencement. Substitution of new section for section 33B of West Ben. Act XLIX of 1974. Substitution of new section for section 43 of West Ben. Act XX of 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Krishi Viswavidyalaya Laws (Amendment) Act, 2021. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. In the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 1974, for section 33B, the following section shall be substituted:— "Retirement of 33B. Every full-time regular teacher and such other regular Teachers. employees, who are in receipt of the State Government's notified scale of pay and holding a substantive post in the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, a State-aided University or in any Government-aided college under the said University, shall retire from service on attaining such age as may be determined and notified in the Official Gazette by the State Government, from time to time.". 3. In the Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000, for section 43, the following section shall be substituted:— 43. Every full-time regular teacher and such other regular employees, who are in receipt of the State Government's notified scale of pay and holding a substantive post in the Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, a State-aided University or in any Government-aided college under the said University, shall retire from service on attaining such age as may be determined and notified in the Official Gazette by the State Government, from time to time.".
