D L.-31004/99 The Baxette of India EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 702 ] NEW DELHI, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 20,1999/KARTEKA 29,1921 MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th November, 1999 S.0.1159(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 5 A of the Preven- tion of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (59 of 1960), the Central Government hereby nominates Shri Kesarichand Mehta as a Member on the Animal Welfare Board of In- dia in place of Shri Krishna Prasad, who has resigned as a Member of the Board and for that purpose makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests' number S.O. 495(E), dated the 09th June, 1998, namely:— In the said notification, for serial number (18) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely :— "(18) Shri Kesarichand Mehta Member nominated Malegaon, District-Nasik, under section Maharashtra 5(1 )(h)."
