Amendment Notification Declaring Eco Sensitive Zone S.O. No. 4668(E) around Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary, Rajasthan

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4460] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2022/ASVINA 11, 1944 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd October, 2022 S.O. 4668(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (v) and clause (xiv)of sub-section(2) and sub-section(3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with Sub- rule(4) of Rule 5 of the Environment (Protection ) Rules, 1986 the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide S.O. number 1191(E), dated the 17 th April, 2017 namely:- In the said notification- (I) For paragraph 5, the following shall be substituted, namely :- “Monitoring Committee -. The State Government shall constitute a Monitoring Committee for effective monitoring of Eco-sensitive Zone, which shall comprise of the following, namely:- TABLE Sl.No. Composition of the Monitoring Committee Designation (i) District Collector, Pratapgarh Chairperson; (ii) District level officer of Public Works Department Member; (iii) District level officer of Town Planning Department Member; (iv) District level officer of Industries Department Member; (v) Regional officer, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board Member; (vi) An expert in the area of ecology and environment for a period of three years Member; (vii) A representative of Non-Governmental Organisation working in the field of environment for a period of one year Member; (viii) Member of State Biodiversity Board Member; (ix) Honorary Wildlife Warden Member; (x) Deputy Conservator of Forests, Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary Member-Secretary” (II) in paragraph 6, in sub-paragraph (1), after the words “ three years” the words ” or till the re-constitution of the new Committee.” shall be inserted Note : The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide S.O. 1191(E), dated the 17 th April, 2017 and Published by the Controller of Publications, Delhi-110054.
