NOTIFICATION Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education and Training Act, 2021. No. VOC-2022/CR- 28/ Kaushalya -2.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 5 of the Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education and Training Act, 2021 (Mah. IX of 2022), the Government of Maharashtra hereby establishes the Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education and Training, for the purposes of the said Act. 2. The Board shall consisting of the following members, namely :— (a) the Director, Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Chairperson ; Education and Training, (b) the nominee of Director, Directorate of Vocational Education Ex-officio Member ; and Training not below the rank of Joint Director, (c) the Chairman, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Ex-officio Member ; and Higher Secondary Education, or his nominee not below the rank of Chairman of the Divisional Board, (d) the Director of Industries, Maharashtra State or his Ex-officio Member ; nominee not below the rank of Joint Director, (e) the Joint Secretary or Deputy Secretary to Government, Ex-officio Member ; Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, (f) the Deputy Commissioner, Skill Development, Ex-officio Member ; Employment and Entrepreneurship, Maharashtra State, Konkan Bhavan, Navi Mumbai, (g) the Regional Director, Regional Directorate of Skill Ex-officio Member ; Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, Mumbai, (h) the Director, Board of Apprenticeship Training Ex officio Member ; (Western Region), Government of India, Mumbai, (i) two members nominated by the Government from the Members ; Association of Industries :— (i) The representative of the confederation of Indian Industry (CII) (ii) The representative of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) (j) three members nominated by the Government from Members ; the heads of the institutes,— (i) Dr. Nidhi Kevalramani, Program Director, Tech Mahindra Foundation, Mumbai. (ii) Shrimati Sujata Bacchav, Chief Executive Officer, Aarya Technologies, Nasik. (iii) Shri Bhushan Marde, Spectrum Industries, Mumbai. (k) three members nominated by the Government having Members ; special knowledge and experience in the field of Vocational Education, Training, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Education.— (i) Shri Bhuvansingh Damahe, L&T Skill Trainers Academy, Mumbai. (ii) Shri Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, AICTE, New Delhi. (iii) Shri Rajendra Barwale, (l) the Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Member-Secretary. Vocational Education and Training, Note :- (1) The members other than the ex-officio members shall hold office for a term of five years from the date of publication of their names in the Official Gazette. (2) The term of office of the outgoing members shall extend to, and expire with, the day immediately preceding the date on which the name of their successors are published in the Official Gazette.
