Notification Declaring Eco Sensitive Area S.O. No. 1125(E) Amendment in Dahanu Taluka, Maharashtra

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1078] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, MARCH 10, 2023/PHALGUNA 19, 1944 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the, 9th March, 2023 S.O. 1125(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with sub-rule (4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 884 (E), dated the 19th December, 1996, namely:- In the said notification,- A. in paragraph 1,- i) for item (5) and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(5) Head of the Department, Department of Environmental Engineering, I.I.T., Mumbai (an expert in the field of Environmental Engineering) - Member” ; ii) for item (6) and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-, “(6). Dean or Head of Department, Faculty of Architecture, Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology, Ahmedabad. (an expert in the field of Developmental and Environmental Planning) - Member”; iii) for item (11), and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(11) Deputy Secretary, Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai - Member” ; iv) after item (11), the following shall be inserted, namely:- “(12) Director, National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur or his nominee - Member”; B. paragraph 6 shall be deleted.
