O. 85(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (59 of I960), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry ofEiivironmcntand Forests S.O. 32(E) dated 10-01-2003 relatingtothe constitution of the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), as amended vide Notifications S.O. 599(E) 2. In the said Notification, the existing entries against Serial No*. 1 shall be deleted and the following entries shall be inserted, namely :— I. ^tin Suresh Chandra, Member Special Secretary. Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Delhi. 1. Under the powers conferred to it in Sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the said Act, the Central Government hcrebv nominates Shri Suresh Chandra, Special Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests, to be the Chairman of the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) with effect from 2nd December, 2004.
