No. SIA-2024/C.R.221/A-2.— WHEREAS, section 10A of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30of2013), in its application to the State ofMaharashtra (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), provides that the State Government may, inthepublic interest, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt any of theprojects mentioned inthe said section 10A from the application of the provisions of Chapter II and Chapter IIIofthe said Act; AND WHEREAS, it appears to the Government ofMaharashtra that the lands mentioned in Schedule-I appended hereto are required or likely to be required for the project mentioned in Schedule-11 appended hereto, which iscovered under clause (/) of the said section 10A (hereinafter referred to as “the said project”); AND WHEREAS, theGovernment ofMaharashtra has ensured the extent ofthe said lands for the proposed acquisition being bare minimum land required forthe said project; AND WHEREAS, theGovernment ofMaharashtra considers it expedient in the public interest to exempt thesaid project under section 10A of the said Act from theapplication ofthe provisions of NOW, THEREFORE, inexercise of the powers conferred by section 10A of the said Act and of allother powers enabling it in that behalf, the Government ofMaharashtra hereby, exempts the said project, in the public interest from theapplication of the provisions of Chapter IIand Chapter REVENUE AND FORESTS DEPARTMENT Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mantralaya, Mumbai 400 032, dated the 30th September 2024 NOTIFICATION Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
