Creation of Sessions sub-division for the revenue taluka of Rahata in Ahmednagar District and establishment of a Court of Sessions at Rahata to be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge, for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said Sessions sub-division.

No. Nyayastha-0123/C.R.04/DESK-11.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 read with section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf ; and in partial modification of all earlier notifications issued in that behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue taluka of Rahata in Ahmednagar District, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby,with effect from the 27 April, 2024, creates Sessions sub-division for the revenue taluka of Rahata in Ahmednagar District and establishes a Court of Sessions at Rahata to be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge, for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said Sessions sub-division. The Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar, shall also be the Sessions Judge for the Sessions sub-division at Rahata, and shall have the powers to withdraw unto himself or assign to any other Court of competent jurisdiction, the cases from the said Sessions sub-division, or to assign unto the Assistant or Additional Sessions Judge at Rahata, any such cases as he thinks fit.
