ORDER: In the Government Order read above, orders were issued for enhancing the Natural death assistance from Rs.15,000/- to Rs.20,000/- and Funeral assistance from Rs.2,000/- to Rs.5,000/- provided to the nominee of the deceased registered worker of Tamil Nadu Manual Worker Social Security Welfare Board and 15 other Welfare Boards based on the announcement made by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 19.07.2017 in the Legislative Assembly. 2. In the letter 4'" read above, the Commissioner of Labour has sent the proposal for amending sub-clause (1) of clause 19 and sub clause (1) of clause 20 the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Scheme, 2006 and 15 other Welfare Schemes of Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Board and 15 other Welfare Boards. NOTIFICATION-I. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu after consultation with the Advisory Committee hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Scheme, 2006 as subsequently amended. AMENDMENTS. In the said Scheme,- 1. in clause 19, in sub-clause (1), for the expression “Rs.2,000 (Rupees two thousand only)”, the expression “Rs.5,000 (Rupees five thousand only)” shall be substituted; 2. in clause 20, in sub-clause (1), for the expression “Rs.15,000 (Rupees fifteen thousand only)”, the expression “Rs.20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only)” shall be substituted.
