EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1606] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JUNE 8, 2020/JYAISTHA 18, 1942 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th June, 2020 S.O. 1788(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14 th September, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii), vide number S.O. 850(E), dated the 17 th March, 2017, namely:- In the said notification, - (i) after paragraph 2, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely:- ‘‘2 A Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph 2, the Chairman and Members of the Authority, Maharashtra shall hold office for a term up to the 16 th September, 2020.’’; (ii) after paragraph 8, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely:- ‘‘8 A Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph 8, the Chairman and Members of the first SEAC, second SEAC and third SEAC, Maharashtra shall hold office for a term up to the 16 th September, 2020.’’.
