JOINT ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION (FOR THE STATE OF GOA AND UNION TERRITORIES) NOTIFICATION - Gurgaon, the 10th October, 2013 _ _ No. JERC—IIIZOIOE—In exercise of powers conferred under section 181 ofthe Electricity Act, 2003 and :35 otherbowers enabling it in this behalf, and as per order dated 13.08.2013 in petitions no‘ 81/2012 and 1060.013 the JOINT ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION FOR THE STATE OF GOA AND UNION TERRITORIES hereby makes the following amendments in JOINT ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION FOR THE STATE OF GOA & UTs (Electricity Supply Code) Regulations, 2010. 1. ‘Short title and commencement : ‘ (1) These regulations may be called The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Goa & UTs (Electricity Supply Code) Second Amendment Regulations, 2013. (2) These regulations shall come into force from the date of publication in Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Regulation 6.10 (2) of the principal Regulation is ta be replaced as under: Consumer shall have the option to make advance payment and in such an event security amount shall be proportionately fixed. The procedure for determination of seeuxity deposit, for different categories of consumers, shall be determined by the licensee and approved by the Commission. The deposit shall be accepted in the form of Cash, Cheque, drafi 03' Bank Guarantee in case of LT consumers and in the form of drafi, banker’s Cheque or Bank Guarantee in case of HTIEHT consumers. The Licensee shall maintain separate head of account of Such security deposits. On tenfiinah'on of the agreement, the security deposit will be refimded to the consumer after adjustment of the amount, if any5 remaining payable by him.
