No. UWA. 2014/CR-10/SHIKANA/Lab-5.–In exercise of the powers conferred by section 26 of Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and other Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Act, 1969 (Mah. XXX of 1969), the Government of Maharashtra hereby adds the following entry, after entry number 14 of the Schedule appended to the said Act, after giving 3 months’ notice of its intention, so to do, as required by the said section 26, as follows, namely :–– ‘‘ 15. Employment in Sugarcane Cultivating Area in connection with doing the work of harvesting of sugarcane, carting and stacking in bullock cart/tractor, truck, carrying, loading, unloading of sugarcane and such other work including the work preparatory or incidental to such operations.’’.
