Notification The 18th October, 2023 No. 40/17/2023-4SW.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule 5 of rule 11 of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Rules, 2020, and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana is pleased to set up the following Transgender Protection Cells for the State of Haryana at State and District levels, to monitor the cases of offences against the transgender persons and to ensure timely registration, investigation and prosecution of such offences, namely:- A. State Level Transgender Protection Cell (i) Director General of Police, Haryana Chairperson (ii) Additional Director General of Police, Crime against Women & Children, Haryana. Member (iii) Director General, Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of SCs & BCs and Antyodaya (SEWA) Department Member (iv) Two Members of Transgender Community (To be Co-opted by DGP, Haryana) Member B. District Level Transgender Protection Cell (i) District Magistrate of the District Concerned Chairperson (ii) Commissioner of Police of the District Concerned or Senior Superintendent of Police District Concerned Member (iii) District Social Welfare Officer Member Secretary (iv) Two Members of Transgender Community (To be Co-opted by District Magistrate of the District concerned) Member PANKAJ AGARWAL, Commissioner & Secretary to Government Haryana, Chandigarh: Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and The 11th October, 2023.
