The petitioner is seventh semester student of B.B.A. LLB (Hons) at the 3^rd respondent-College. Her Course is spanning from the year 2021 to 2026. The petitioner had written examinations upto sixth semester and the same is evident from Ext.P2 series mark sheets.

The petitioner states that she had attended more than 90% of regular classes in the seventh semester, except the classes of Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing. Total classes were 10, but the petitioner could attend only 5 classes as evidenced by Ext.P3. In Ext.P3, serial No.16 is the petitioner's name and she is having 50% of attendance.

The petitioner's marriage was on 07.02.2025

¶28

and for the purpose of attending pre-marriage functions, she could not attend 5 classes out of total 10 classes. Now, the examination for the seventh semester of B.B.A. LLB (Hons) has been started on 17.03.2025 and the last exam is scheduled on 27.03.2025.

On 13.03.2025, the petitioner had received a

message on her mobile number that her hall ticket for the seventh semester examination is withheld by the University for the reason that the petitioner is not having 75% attendance.

If the petitioner is not allowed to appear at

least in one exam of seventh semester, she will not be permitted to continue in eighth semester or rather she has to attend the classes of seventh semester again by remitting huge fees and lose six months also. Unless this Court directs, the

petitioner will not be able to appear and write the exams to be

held on 25.03.2025 and 27.03.3025.

I have heard the learned counsel for the

petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel representing respondents 1 and 2.

The contention of the petitioner is that she has 56% attendance which can be condoned and unless the petitioner is permitted to appear in the examination, her progress to the next semester will be adversely affected.

Going through the statement filed on behalf of the 1^st respondent, I find that as per the University order No.10699/2024/Admn. dated 05.07.2024, in the syllabus of subject 'Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing', it is mentioned that only those who have secured a minimum of 75% attendance and 50% marks in practical training of the semester shall be eligible to register for the examination of that Semester. The petitioner has scored only 21% for the practical subject

Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing. Therefore, in view of University Order dated 05.07.2024, the petitioner is not eligible

to sit for the examination. In view of the above, I find no merit in the writ petition.
