This original petition has been filed for speedy disposal of Criminal Appeal No.299 of 2024 pending on the file of District and Sessions Court, Thrissur.

I have heard both sides.

I have called for a report from the District and Sessions Judge, Thrissur.

A report has been received from the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Irinjalakuda, stating that Criminal Appeal No.299 of 2024 was made over to that court on 28.09.2024 and the case is now posted to 25.04.2025 awaiting the trial court records. The learned Judge has further submitted that the case could be disposed of within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the trial court records.
