The petitioners have approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to sanction and disburse Provident Fund Advance with interest to the petitioners. It is stated in the writ petition that as per order dated 09.01.2024 of the 1st respondent in respect of the 1st petitioner, an amount of Rs.2,86,000/- and in respect of the 2nd petitioner an amount of Rs.1,65,000/- by order dated 20.03.2023, has been recommended.

The learned standing counsel for the respondents submits that it is due to the financial stringency that the respondents are not able to honour the claim of the petitioners for release of the Provident Fund Advance amount. It is a fact that the contribution is paid by the petitioners alone and not on the party by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioners seek advance disbursal from the money they have already deposited.

The learned counsel for the respondents submits that at

least six months is required for disbursal of the amounts.

Taking into consideration the urgency put forward by the petitioners in the writ petition, there will be a direction to the respondents to disburse the amounts within a period of four months.
