levelled against the applicant were proved and competent authority imposed the punishment of withholding 20% of the pension for a period of five years. Challenging the aforesaid action, O.A. No.997 of 2014 was filed before the Tribunal. Learned Tribunal, vide order dated 11.3.2016, remanded the matter to the department for ascertaining the proportionality of the punishment vis a vis the charges. The aforementioned order was though assailed before this Court vide Original Petition No.119 of 2016, the order of the Tribunal was upheld and the Union of India was directed, vide order dated 18.12.2019, to consider and dispose of the representations of the applicant qua the quantum of punishment/penalty imposed. It was after giving the opportunity, vide Annexure A1 order dated 11.11.2020, as noticed above, the penalty had been reduced to 10% of the monthly pension. The said order was again assailed before the Tribunal vide O.A. No.64 of 2021.
