This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to give a direction to the respondents to conclude the investigation in Vigilance Case No.4/2020/SCE and to file the final report.

The petitioner is the accused in the crime mentioned above. The offences alleged against the petitioner are punishable under Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988 and 13(2) r/w Section 13(1)(b) of the PC Amendment Act, 2018.

According to the petitioner, even though FIR was registered in the year 2020, no final report has been filed so far.

It is alleged that since there is delay in completing the investigation and filing the final report, his service benefits have bee n withheld .

The learned Senior Public Prosecutor, Smt. S.Rekha

on instructions submits that the petitioner has not been cooperating with the investigation and the delay is on account of this.

Hence, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to co-operate with the investigation. The investigating officer shall complete the investigation and file the final report without further delay.
