JUDGMENT

The above writ petition is filed with following prayers :

“(i) Call for the records relating to Ext.P5.

¶27

(ii) Issue a writ of certiorari to quash Ext.P5

¶28

(iii) Declare that the petitioners who had not studied the regional language Malayalam in 10^th and 12^th standard but studied Malayalam in D.El.Ed and in K-TET are qualified to apply for the post of LPST in Kerala.

(iv) Declare that Ext.P5 GO (MS) No.19/223/G.Edn dated 24.2.2023 has no retrospective effect.

(v) Dispense with filing of the translation of vernacular documents.

(vi) Issue such other writs, orders, directions including interim orders deem fit in the circumstances of the case.

(vii) Allow this writ petition with costs.” [SIC]

When this writ petition came up for consideration, the

learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners submitted Ext.P6 before the 1^st respondent. The

counsel submitted that there may be a direction to the 1^st

respondent to consider Ext.P6 within a time frame.

Heard the learned Government Pleader also.

After hearing both sides, I think this writ petition

itself can be disposed of directing the 1^st respondent to consider Ext.P6 within a time frame.

Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions :

The 1^st respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders in Ext.P6 after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within four months from the date of receipt of a stamped certified copy of this judgment.

1. The petitioners will produce a stamped certified copy of this judgment before the 1^st respondent for compliance.
