JUDGMENT

Petitioner is an 18 year old girl. The allegation in this writ petition is strange. The petitioner seeks police protection from her own father. She wants to stay in a hostel. She is in love with another boy. The father is harassing her is the submission. Hence this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader. I also heard the learned counsel for the 3^rd respondent.

The counsel for the 3^rd respondent submitted that the 3^rd respondent filed a habeas corpus petition before this Court. the petitioner appeared before this Court and submitted that she wants to go along with a boy. Hence the habeas corpus petition was closed. It is also submitted that, the other allegations in this writ petition are false and the writ petition may be dismissed with cost.

The Government Pleader submitted that if there is

any threat to the life of the petitioner, Police will do the needful in accordance with law. In the light of the above submission, I think this writ petition need not be retained.

Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:

If there is any threat to the life of the petitioner from her own father as alleged in this writ petition, the petitioner can approach the 1^st respondent with a complaint and if such a complaint is received, the 1^st respondent will do the needful to see that the life of the petitioner is protected.
