J U D G M E N T

The petitioner claims to be one of the legal heirs of late Ponmudian Devu @ Devaki V.V., who was the absolute owner in possession of the properties in Sy. Nos128/17 and 128/5 situated in Iriveri Village, Chakkarakal, Kannur District. The petitioner has approached this court being aggrieved by the fact that after the death of the aforesaid Devaki, basic land tax is being accepted from the legal heirs only in respect of land in Sy. No.128/4 while such land tax is not being accepted in respect of the land in Sy. Nos.128/5 and 127/17.

The learned Senior Government Pleader on instructions submits that the 2^nd respondent can be directed to consider Ext.P3 request in accordance with law.

Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Senior Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this writ petition will stand disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 request made by the petitioner in accordance with law and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
