The petitioners have approached this Court being aggrieved by the fact that an application filed by the petitioners seeking reference under Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (‘the Act’ for short) has been rejected by Ext.P2 order on the ground that it is filed beyond time. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that if the benefit of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Suo Motu Writ Petition(C) No.3/2020 is extended to the petitioners, the application filed by the petitioners on 10.10.2022 can be considered by the competent authority in accordance with the law. It is submitted that the petitioners received Ext.P1 award in the last week of September, 2019. It is submitted that under Section 64 of the Act, the petitioners have six months time to submit the reference application. It is submitted that within a further period of one year from the date of expiry of six months, the petitioners can file an application for reference on sufficient cause being shown. It is submitted that as per the orders issued by the Supreme Court in the case referred to above, the petitioners are entitled to exclusion from
