Special Report No.30 of 2022 submitted by the learned Ombudsman for the Travancore and Cochin Devaswom Boards is with respect to the modification of emoluments of the Peon attached to the office of the learned Ombudsman.

of Rs.13,000/- was enhanced to Rs.16,250/-. Previous orders as per which enhancement in the monthly emoluments of the Peon as well as other staff members are also placed on record.
“The staff pattern listed by the Ombudsman is accepted. Ombudsman can effect appointments of persons of his choice either serving or retired persons of good character and conduct and their period of service will be co-terminus with that of the Ombudsman.”
This Court made it clear that appointment of staff members in the office of the Ombudsman would be co-terminus with that of learned Ombudsman. Appointment of various staff members in the office of the learned Ombudsman is being done following the said direction.
