The petitioner shall pay the compensation and appear before the trial court for undergoing the sentence of imprisonment till rising of the court within the extended period. If the petitioner fails to pay the compensation within the extended period, he shall be liable to undergo simple imprisonment for three months.
In view of the extension granted, coercive steps, if any pending against the petitioner, shall be kept in abeyance for six months.
