This writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to issue a writ of mandamus or such other writ, order or direction directing the 2nd respondent not to proceed with any project which destroy ecosystem rich in Botanical and Zoological diversity, existing in an around “Valayanchira” situated within the limits of Rayamangalam Grama Panchayat.

counsel appearing for the Koovapady Block Panchayat has filed a statement dated 19th December, 2022 on behalf of the additional third respondent - Koovappady Block Panchayath, wherein it is stated that the Koovappady Block Panchayath has submitted a project before the Government for the improvements to Valayanchira under NABARD-RIDFTranche-XXIV. But the project was rejected by the Government and returned to this office on 10.10.2018. Now, the Koovappady Block Panchayath has not taken any project for Valayanchira.
In the light of the above, there is no need to delve into the merits of this case. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
