The petitioner passed his CBSE Secondary School Examination in the year 2011-2013. Later, the petitioner realized that the names of his parents were entered incorrectly in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate. His mother's name is entered as 'Mini' instead of 'Mini Mathew' and father's name as 'Thomas' instead of 'Tomy Joseph'. On realizing the mistake, the petitioner submitted an application seeking correction of his parents' names in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate. The respondents having failed to act upon the application, this writ petition is filed.

Despite service of notice, the 3^rd respondent has not entered appearance.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the CBSE Board.

Learned Standing Counsel submits that, if the petitioner files a proper application before the School, and the same is forwarded, the application will be considered and appropriate action taken by the 2^nd respondent.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of, directing the petitioner to file a proper application before the 3^rd respondent within two weeks from today. Once the application is filed, the same shall be forwarded by the 3^rd respondent to the 2^nd respondent, along with all requisite documents, within a further period of one week. On receipt of the application along with documents, a decision regarding correction of entries in the petitioner's Secondary School Leaving Certificate shall be taken within one month.
