The dispute in this case is in regard to the custody of a minor child. The disputants are the maternal grandparents and the father of the child. The child was in the custody of the mother till her death. That arrangement was based on a compromise entered into between the mother and the father. There arose a dispute after the death of the mother. The father filed a petition before the Family Court for permanent custody. Meanwhile, the father approached this Court stating that the Family Court be directed to take up the matter urgently and pass appropriate orders on permanent custody, pending the original petition.

When the matter was moved before this Court, we summoned the parties and interacted with them. With the intervention of the lawyers, the parties have

amicably settled their disputes. Accordingly, an agreement is executed and produced before this Court along with I.A.No.1/2022. Father has agreed to drop the child and bring him back from the maternal grandparents' custody in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed upon. We dispose of the original petition recording the settlement. We also direct the Family Court, Thrissur, to dispose of Ext.P6 application recording the settlement arrived at between the parties before this Court. The parties are directed to produce a copy of this judgment before the Family Court, Thrissur. The settlement agreement will form part of this judgment.
