The appellants are respondents 1 to 3 in O.P.No.1310 of 2010 on the file of the Family Court, Malappuram, which is one filed by the respondents herein for return of money, gold ornaments and past maintenance. By the judgment and decree dated 17.11.2014 the Family Court allowed O.P.No.1310 of 2010 directing the respondents therein/appellants herein to return 90 sovereigns of gold ornaments to the first petitioner therein/1st respondent herein, within two months from the date of the judgment, failing which they will be liable for payment of its value amounting to Rs.13,50,000/- with 6% interest per annum thereon, from the date of filing of the original petition. The 1st respondent therein/1st appellant herein was also found liable to pay Rs.12,500/- by way of past maintenance to the 1st petitioner/1st respondent herein and Rs.7,500/- to the 2nd petitioner/2nd respondent herein. The remaining claims were disallowed. Feeling aggrieved by the judgment and decree dated 17.11.2014 in O.P.No.1310 of 2010, the appellants are before this Court in this appeal, invoking the provisions under Section 19(1) of the Family Courts Act, 1984.
