The above Contempt of Court case has been instituted in the matter of non-compliance of the directions and orders passed by this Court as per Annexure 3 judgment rendered on 19.07.2017 in Writ Appeal, WA No.1433/2017 (arising out of judgment dated 14.06.2017 in WP(C) No.19637/2017). Today, when the matter has been taken up for consideration, Sri.Saigi Jacob Palatty, learned Senior Government Pleader would submit on the basis of instructions of the respondent that the Tahasildar, Chavakkad Taluk, Trissur District has now passed revised proceedings dated 15.07.2022, after hearing the petitioner and ordering that the buildings in question will be separately assessed as two units of buildings and the building will be treated for residential purposes and not otherwise and that assessment proceedings has been duly completed, allowing both the pleas of the petitioner on the abovesaid issues. Further that, the

Tahasildar has also ordered that the refund of tax already paid by the petitioner has also been ordered in favour of the petitioner. A copy of the said proceedings No.BT1-4549/2007 dated 15.07.2022 issued by the Tahasildar, Chavakkad Taluk has been furnished by the learned Senior Government Pleader to this Court, as well as to Sri.T.M.Chandran, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner. Recording the above submissions of the respondent, the above Contempt of Court case will stand disposed of.
