ORDER

The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.2911/2021 of Pala Police Station, Kottayam District.

After arguing for some time, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall surrender before the Investigating Officer on or before 23.3.2022 and that there may be a direction to the Investigating Officer in Crime No.2911/2021 of Pala Police Station to produce the petitioner before the jurisdictional Magistrate on the same day. It is also submitted that a direction may be issued to the jurisdictional Magistrate to consider any bail application that may be filed by the petitioner on its merits on the day of surrender itself.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that no criminal antecedents are reported against the petitioner, I am of the view that this bail application can be ordered by directing that, if the petitioner surrenders before the Investigating Officer at 10 a.m. on or before 23.3.2022, the petitioner shall be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate on the same day and any bail application filed by him shall be considered and disposed of without undue delay.
