The petitioners are street vendors. They have submitted Exts.P5 and P6 applications seeking enrollment in the list of street vendors. Exts.P7 and P8 are the

receipts issued by the Municipality regarding the same.

The petitioners seek for an expeditious consideration of the applications.

¶22

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the Municipality.

The applications have been pending since February, 2021. It is for the Municipality to take appropriate decisions thereon without further delay.

Accordingly, without expressing anything on the merits, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts.P5 and P6 applications after affording an

opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, as
